How do you tell a story about your Self.
Or how do you tell a story about someone who seems like your Self.
Or someone whose Self is different.
Or what is a Self. How do you find it. What does it look like. Do you represent what you think it is? Or is it just what-it-is.
Maybe it shows up in someone’s apartment.
Or maybe the Self only shows up when someone else is looking at it.
When pending as a photographic moment. The Self is revealed. Through the merging of intimate and obtuse.
When suspended as words on a page. The Self is re-configured. With one small twitch of a 'yeah' or a 'cuz'.
Ha! Or maybe they’re just delicious photos of really cool stuff.
Maybe they’re just words, smartly laid out on the threshold of casual hilarity.
It might be, that the Self isn’t there at all.
Maybe this person just has a kick-ass apartment.
It’s most likely, that these ladies aren’t trying to tell you anything about a Self.
They do however. Concoct one of the most intelligently, entertaining narratives. About people’s lives. Via their homes.
